Mark

by Alma Johnson

Mark -
I see the sunrise through
your eyes -
the birds singing your song.
The trees whispering -
your name – in my heart.
The wind howling your pain,
and now mine.
Getting closer to you,
with each day passing
with every sunset -
I see through your eyes.
Spring in th air -
winter – cold – in my heart.
My soul – wanting to be with you.
Needing to stay -
for your brother -
who is the other -
half of me.
Loving him always -
like you -
until – eternity -
both of my flesh you and him,
now only half of me, until -
I see you again.
