Showbags were introduced at the show over 100 years ago, and remain a drawcard for many visitors today, especially families. Kids are drawn buy the colour and variety of the goodies on offer, with the most popular bags often containing kitsch memorabilia of commercial icons from movies, TV shows and rock groups. They certainly add to the sparkle of the show, if not its cultural depth.
